I had this kind of experience when I was working in Quiksilver Bali. We’re trying to implement expensive ERP software for 2years after finally give up and switch to old solution: Access. That expensive solution was regarded by management as a “one time installation software”. The IT team was not involved in the selection and have to struggle aligning the Expensive ERP system with Business Process.

And yes, the Access Solution developed using Iterative and Incremental Development 😉
